Ski resort

Bought by a private investor a few years ago, Darbandsar is one of the few ski resort in Iran to develop. It is located one hour away from Tehran and has some great assets.

Darbandsar ski area is behind Dizin the biggest one in Iran! In few years, the resort took over in term of size and diversity Tochal and Shemshak ski resorts, becoming more and more popular among Iranian skiers.

Darbandsar is now equipped with 2x four seats chairlifts, 1x two seats chairlift, 1x gondola and 2 ski lifts.

Starting from the summit, the main slope is wide, groomed everyday and offers 900m of vertical drop. Half of it is equipped with a few snow makers and lights for night skiing. Away from this main axis, a ski lift serves an other red slope.

Potential for freeskiing is interesting! However, for safety and responsibility reasons, off-piste skiing is not allowed. If you still want to explore around, here are the 2 options :

Access

From the Eastern side of Tehran, one hour (60km) is required to reach the ski resort located on the same road than Shemshak and Dizin ski resorts.

You will find bus lines between Tehran and Fasham. The easiest way, is definitely to get a Taxi straight from Tehran.

Lodging

For accommodation, Shemshak is located a few minutes away from the slopes and offers all of what you need.

An other option is to get a room in Dizin ski resort. From there, you can reach Darbandsar by ski touring or by taking a taxi from the 2nd station parking lot.
