Information

Binalood is the nearest mountain range to Mashhad, 2nd biggest city of Iran. Its highest summit – Kuh-e Siah Khvani – has an elevation of 3211m.

This mountain area offers great opportunities for easy and safe ski touring. Only problem accessing those area can be tricky.

To reach the highest peak of Binalood, the small ski resort of Shirbad will be the perfect base camp. You will find there everything you need: Food, WC, showers, electricity, heater… and you will surely meet lots of Iranians so as to improve your Farsi.

Best period for skiing in this area is from February up to mid-April.
